Bearpaw's Tashina

Gender: Filly  Date of Birth: April 19, 2005
  Color: DkBrn/Black pinto (tri-colored)
Registration: ABC-3449
This little filly is out of Peaches & Creme ABC-1726(f) and by BNC Hobo ABC-910(f). She was the smallest of the 2005 foals but defenitly the most active. She runs full tilt then turns on a dime....anybody looking for a barrel racer? Her mom quit trying to keep up with her after about three days. Tashina, named for a Lakota woman living in South Dakota, is about 50-50 on her markings - beautiful color! Now a year old, she continues to tear up the turf and routinely jumps a two foot log that is laying in her pasture. She shed her mane and the top of her tail but they grew back with her winter coat. Tashina is easy to catch (she usually meets everyone at the gate), is halter broke, leads, loves to be brushed, is totally desensitized (even her udder) and willingly picks up all four feet. She recently spent a few days with a professional trainer who had her lunging the first day. He said "there's only so much you can do with them at this age and she's doing it all". Just for the fun of it, he put a light weight western saddle on her. Her only reaction was to chew on one of the stirrups for a few seconds. She willingly lunged with the saddle on and stirrups flapping. She's a gem! $2200
